1.Definition Non-heated motorcycle oxygen sensor is an exhaust detection component customized for motorcycle engines without built-in heating wire. It relies on high-temperature exhaust gas to heat the zirconia chip, detects oxygen partial pressure in exhaust, converts oxygen concentration difference into electrical signals and feeds data back to motorcycle ECU for closed-loop air-fuel ratio control. Key Technical Specifications Detecting medium: Motorcycle high-temperature exhaust gas Operating temperature: 300℃ ~ 850℃ Measuring range: 0.01%–21% O₂ Heater configuration: No internal heating circuit Output signal: Jump voltage signal Response time: ≤180ms Protection grade: IP64, resistant to high temperature, corrosion and vibration Shell material: High temperature resistant stainless steel Service life: 40,000–80,000 driving kilometers 2.Core Function Monitor real-time residual oxygen content in engine exhaust and send feedback signals to ECU. Automatically adjust fuel supply to maintain standard air-fuel ratio, reduce fuel consumption and optimize engine power. Cut CO and HC exhaust pollutants to satisfy motorcycle emission standards. Identify abnormal combustion conditions and transmit fault signals to the control system. Simple structure with fewer internal parts, low production cost and easy installation for small-displacement motorcycles. 3.Working Principle This sensor adopts zirconia oxygen ion conduction principle: Exhaust gas flows through the protective metal cover and contacts the zirconia ceramic chip. The chip only activates oxygen ion conduction after absorbing enough heat from hot exhaust. Oxygen partial pressure difference between exhaust and ambient air generates distinct voltage signals. The signal mutates at λ=1; ECU modulates fuel injection volume based on signal variation. 4.Application Scope Vehicle Types Small-displacement four-stroke motorcycles, fuel scooters, low-speed motor tricycles Matching Components Motorcycle exhaust manifold, mini catalytic converter, simple engine ECU Application Scenarios Conventional motorcycle fuel closed-loop control, exhaust emission monitoring, cost-effective emission matching for entry-level two-wheelers
