2. Core Function
Continuously monitor refrigerant pressure in the A/C high-pressure loop during air conditioner operation.
Prevent compressor damage: cut off the compressor clutch automatically under excessively high pressure to avoid pipeline burst; stop the compressor under ultra-low pressure to prevent dry burning without refrigerant.
Adjust cooling capacity intelligently: the ECU regulates fan speed and compressor displacement according to pressure signals to maintain stable cabin temperature.
Built-in self-diagnosis function detects circuit open/short circuit, refrigerant leakage and abnormal pressure, triggers dashboard warning and stores DTC fault codes.
Support energy-saving control for new energy vehicle electric compressors to reduce power consumption.
3. Working Principle
The sensor adopts mature piezoresistive sensing technology:
Refrigerant pressure acts on the anti-corrosion metal sensitive diaphragm and generates tiny elastic deformation.
Integrated strain resistors on the diaphragm produce linear resistance changes corresponding to refrigerant pressure.
Wheatstone bridge circuit converts resistance fluctuations into standard analog voltage signals.
Internal signal conditioning and ADC chips filter temperature and vibration interference, output stable analog or digital signals to vehicle ECU.
