2.Core Function
Collect real-time residual oxygen data in exhaust and transmit signals to engine control unit.
Adjust fuel injection quantity dynamically to maintain theoretical air-fuel ratio, lifting fuel efficiency.
Cut down CO, HC and NOx pollutants to meet national vehicle emission standards.
Identify abnormal engine combustion; transmit fault codes to ECU and light up engine malfunction indicator.
Stably operate under long-term high-temperature exhaust and bumpy driving conditions.
3.Working Principle
The sensor uses zirconia oxygen ion conduction principle:
Exhaust gas flows through the metal protective cover and touches the sensitive ceramic chip.
Built-in heating resistor heats the chip to activation temperature for oxygen ion conduction.
Oxygen partial pressure gap between exhaust and ambient air generates characteristic voltage signals.
Signal value varies drastically around λ=1; ECU modifies fuel injection parameters based on signal changes.
4.Application Scope
Vehicle Types
Gasoline passenger cars, SUVs, MPVs, light commercial gasoline vehicles
Matching Components
Exhaust manifold, three-way catalytic converter, engine ECU, exhaust pipeline
Application Scenarios
